Sales and Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will be pivotal in helping USI increase its market share and grow sales. You will develop and implement the marketing activities and relationships to propel USI into new markets.

Reporting to the Director of New Business Development, our ideal candidate will have the experience and knowledge to:

  • Generate an inventory of new sales opportunities that the sales staff will develop in order to provide consistent sales bookings.
  • Direct and manage all marketing activities and continuously acquire new sales prospect opportunities.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Manage the initial marketing and relationship building activities to pipeline prospective customers for the USI sales staff that includes developing and executing marketing and communication programs to attract and acquire new sales leads, developing and executing on tradeshows and events and participating in various professional events and groups.
  • Develop and execute a targeted e-marketing strategy to include newsletter, collateral, webinars, web and SEO formats and strategies as part of the marketing plan.
  • Qualify prospects and develop initial relationships with companies who have indicated an interest in buying from USI and formally transition the new pre-qualified opportunities to the sales team.
  • Increase the visibility and traffic to USI’s newly developed website, implement a robust SEO strategy and direct all collateral design and content.
  • Track sales activities for all sales staff and collect market intelligence for the various sales regions.
  • Oversee and manage the CRM system and track all sales activities and quotes; analyze trends and close rates.
  • Regularly generate sales forecasts based on sales pipeline activities and sales and account manager insights.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a Technical Field strongly preferred; BS degree in Marketing.
  • 3-6 years of previous experience in marketing within the semiconductor, thin film or other technically related industry.
  • Excellent written AND verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating new customers, pipelining prospects and developing relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to develop and execute on marketing and sales strategies.
  • Proven experience creating, coordinating and executing eMarketing programs.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing SEO/SEM strategies to increase traffic and revenue.
